Patrick joined the winemaking team in May of 2018 with a rich background in vineyard management, growing, and viticulture. An early fascination with wine and its multidisciplinary nature—fueled by art, chemistry, biology, farming, culture, history and philosophy—led Patrick to obtain his BS in Viticulture and Enology, where he also researched extracting and purifying Anthocyanins for perfect wine color.

After a move to Napa in 2014, Patrick immediately began working with vineyard crews to learn the intimate process of growing grapes from the ground up. He worked his first Napa harvest at Quintessa and then followed various roles at home and abroad to deepen his approach: a season at Trinity Hill in New Zealand, a position at Napa’s Alejandro Bulgheroni Estate to learn from Philippe Melka and Michel Rolland, and a season in Mendoza, Argentina to experience harvest at Bodega Vistalba.

As Assistant Winemaker, Patrick is passionate about the great vineyards we tend to and source fruit from and works hand in hand with Head Winemaker Shawn Johnson.
