This Chardonnay was made by fermenting about one third of the grapes in new French Oak barrels, a third of the grapes in small stainless steel tanks and one third in our concrete ‘egg’ fermenters. The wine then aged in for over a year in barrel and then for seven months in bottle prior to release.
This Chardonnay is a bold and smooth wine. Both lively and opulent, it has a full body with a creamy texture balanced by mineral and lemon flavours. The wines will be fully ready for drinking upon release, but this Chardonnay is also age-worthy and will continue to develop over the next five to ten years.
